Nigerian athletes not happy. Displeasures with officials is becoming public! Almost all of them have complained today (twitter +fb) about the treatment from AFN.
Gloria Asumnu pulling out of the relay. I only pray that we dont lose a medal hope to mismanagement. This is like a repeat of the shameful period when our athletes intentionally dropped the batons to protest. Already we have seen a pseudo-protest from Ajoke Odumosu where she intentionally false-started twice to get a DQ.
I sometimes feel ashamed of Nigeria.

Gloria has not been happy with d special treatment AFN alway seem to give Okagbare . At d trials she complained about it. She would most likely compete because of d financial incentive involved.

What kind of special treatment are you talking about? Even Blessing complained the AFN at the trials...

Nigeria was only 2nd in the semi-final. Through to the final in 5th place overall - don't think that we can really improve on that in the final with the likes of the US, Russia & Jamaica able to bring in better runners to go even faster. Team GB, despite losing Perri Shakes-Drayton to injury, will still be in the mix for medals...

You've got to hail Regina George's last leg run though - she made up about 15 metres on the French girl. I'd really like to see her split on that one - it must have come close to 50.0! She's a star in the making if we can manage her well...

Also, Jamaica has been disqualified. We MAY push GB for the bronze medal.

From Nigeria offcourse. Margaret Adeoye and Christine Ohuruogu both ran in that relay for GB. Eidith Child is scottish too, while Shana Cox is American.
Interesting that Jamaica has been disqualified, leaving Nigeria in 4th fastest time, hopefully the lane draw for the final can be adjusted and Nigeria get a better lane than lane 9.

The bolded is British. Scotland is part of Britain.

I hope Nigeria can nick a bronze medal since one the favorites have been disqualified.
