Oladayo, imagine if you could get hold of this:

http://www.namejet.com/Pages/Auctions/BackorderDetails.aspx?domainname=occupant.com

and then take it to flippa?

*smiles* well, 2014 isn't too far off. By God's grace, I should do far better in 2014 because I know where to fish them...

Like I said, it's all about positioning.

I respect you bro... You and TheGoodJoe will make great domainers.

See you at the top of your POSITIONING!!!!!!! cheesy

I can't seem to find the link on Domainsherpa. Maybe they bought it as a whole business and not just a domain name. Such a price for just a domain name will never happen in the next 10 years. You can quote me.

Yes, AT & T purchased YellowPages.com for $100 Million

It is a business! either Domain alone or not, it is YellowPages.com and sold for $100m.

I believe anyone can pay any amount for any domain if the person have his personal reason to buy it for any amount.

Yellowpages.com is not a domain name only, rather it is a full developed business. An online contact directories with a wide database. Very good to locate interested buyers as well as sellers.

Why I hate Flippa

Here are a few of the reasons why I think both site buyers and sellers should STAY AWAY!

Reasons why I hate flippa:

As a seller:

• They take a fee to list, DP does not.
• They charge $ to upgrade your listing.
• They take a cut of the final sale.
• The comment policy is retarded, people will troll and flame your site before it even has bids.
• They force you to use escrow, which has much bigger fees than paypal, this is beacsue they take a commission everytime escrow is used.
• The feedback system sucks too, get ready for negatives.

As a buyer:

• When you view a site for sale, they keep their branded tool bar up top, making the SEO tool bar useless and I have to manually type in the domain.
• They are owned by sitepoint and love to drive up prices.
• Most of the sites (at least 80%) have rediculous prices that will never be paid, barely any of the sites are actually worth what they are priced at.
• Most of the sites for sale just plain suck and no one will ever buy them.
• A bunch of sites for sale have fake traffic and earnings stats. Some look like they were photoshopped by a 3 year old.
• Tons of sites listed use the same recycled template on a different domain. Only idiots buy auto blogs for more than the reg fee.
• Every site on Flippa has HUGE POTENTIAL. This is the biggest bullshit claim. Not everything has potential to become huge, or any potential at all. Most sites on there that say Huge Potential are plain crap.
• No one will ever make $200 for buying a domain, installing wordpress, picking a theme, and copy pasting a bunch of content, but most Flippa sellers seem to think $200 is a LOW price for one of these copied sites with HUGE POTENTIAL LOLZ.
• The site is just plain ugly and unorganized, I hate it.

Yet sellers are making money from it. I might be placing a domain on it soon for sale.
