kabe1:I think he has a brother called Muhammad who died in the ambush. If that is the case, he needs to be pulled out of the frontline instantly. 2 children of a single parent should not be wasted this way. The most painful part is that their death was avoidable if the army had invested in MRAPs. This is saddening. |

marvin906: Japan might get 30 Diesel-Electric Subs - they already have 22. They do not need Nuclear Subs that can stay at sea for months because their area of operation is literally in front of their door unlike AUS or US. It might surprise you that diesel-Subs are even quieter than N-Subs and cheaper to build and maintain of course. 1 Like |

kabe1: Referring to the nuclear subs Australia is getting in comparison to the nuclear subs China have... I believe nuclear subs stay longer in sea and are more powerful than the diesel variant.. Just wondering why the Chinese navy have few.. And how Australia intends to maintain a large fleet of nuclear subs.. Looking at your the picture you posted australia fleet will be larger than the UK.. Is it just me or the aussies are punching above their weight |

marvin906: Australia doesn't have a nuclear submarine for now, China has 15. Australia would only get 8 nuclear subs from the US, with 4 available at any one time. |

kabe1: Nope. Nuclear submarines don't need refueling for months. No serious world power depends on diesel submarines and has no cruisers. One US cruiser can take out a country's airforce by launching cruise missiles from over 200km away. They can jam comms or worse sow confusion in your C3I infrastructure. 1 Like |

Failed coup attempt in Sudan today. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-58629978 A military coup d'etat attempt failed in Sudan on Tuesday and most of the involved officers were arrested, according to three senior government and military sources. About 40 officers were arrested after attempting to take over the state broadcaster's television buildings and the military general command, one senior government source said. Following the attempt, Sudan's military spread across the capital Khartoum. See more The Sudanese Minister of information and media and government spokesman, Hamza Bloul has said the situation in the country is "completely under control," after what senior government officials said was a failed military coup attempt in the country..... This is why coups should not be tolerated,it's a cancer and backdoor for Western puppeteers. |

Statement of the French MOD about the Australian submarine deal. https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2021/09/french-mod-setting-the-record-straight-on-australian-submarine-affair/ .. On the same day as the AUKUS announcement, the Australians wrote to France to say that they were satisfied with the submarine’s achievable performance and with the progress of the program. In short: forward to launching the next phase of the contract. .. France has reasonable grounds to be pissed off with AUKUS - Australia was playing a double game until the very last moment. |

RiceProducers: Wait..... What? DE Subs are perfect for countries with a military posture as China. No expected to fight far from home port. DE Sub's are more quiet than Nuclear powered subs. What Nuclear power provides you is more energy output to run your systems & range. Cruisers are ships of a by-gone age. Even small 62m Corvettes like the Buyan can hit targets over 3000km away. Most countries, big countries depend on Frigates & Destroyers while Corvettes make the largest numbers of their fighting fleet. Look at China & Russia. Even the US is now building Frigates case in point is FFGx which Fincantieri recently won. Man!!! 9 Likes |

kabe1: China is challenging in the South China sea. They would have to keep submarines at sea for long or compensate with large numbers. Cruisers can do a whole lot and it is only when we talk about "carrier groups" that you begin to understand what power projection is about. A carrier group can cripple the entire offensive forces of a moderately powerful country especially in this age of AI powered electronic warfare |

RiceProducers: South China Sea is not in Africa, Europe of America. From the infographic you can see that China has the most balanced Navy on earth. Each branch built to complement one another. Cruisers, nobody is building cruisers any more, like i pointed out to you, the Buyan is basically 62 meters long, if they were built in Nigeria they would be classified as a Seaward Defence Boat. Imagine engaging targets with the Buyan at a distance of 3,000 km that's impressive. Nobody is interested in building Cruisers, not even the United States. FFG(X) is a good example. A Carrier group usually comprises of Destroyers, Frigates, Submarines and at least 1 Replenishment ship. You're talking Cruisers like they are one super thing, Cruisers are essentially going extinct like the Dinosaurs. Russia recently scrapped Admiral "Lazerev". 5 Likes 2 Shares |
