The Maritime Reaction Squadron. I wish we could just go back to calling these guys the SA Marine Corps. Everyone calls them Marines anyway.

Nice
I assume a 30 or 40mm is still to be fitted?
It can be armed with a 40 mm RWS.

However, the 45 meters OPV is armed with a 20mm and 2 12.7mm HMGs.

Military related.

Hitting the Cinemas soon, "76" a Nigerian movie about a failed military coup. Promises to be a very interesting watch.

This movie took 7 years to produce, impeccable attention to detail in the scenes. The actors had to undergo military trainings for some of their scenes.

ANOTHER HIGH PROFILE BH TARGET BITES THE DUST

Troops of 7 Multinational Joint Task Force Brigade Quick Response Group (QRG) stationed in Baga and 118 Task Force Battalion, sprang an ambush along Daban Masara axis used by Boko Haram terrorists elements to convey logistics on Thursday.

At the encounter, one of the suspected wanted Boko Haram terrorists leaders who is serial number 95 on the first Nigerian Army wanted list of 100 Boko Haram terrorists leaders, was fatally wounded in the exchange of fire. He later gave up while receiving medical attention at the base, while other members of his team escaped with gun shot wounds.

The troops recovered 7 Jerri cans of 30 litres containing 210 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), motorcycles and food stuff in addition to arms and ammunitions.

Breaking News: SUN declared war against Museveni in Uganda

Kampala, Uganda, A group calling itself “We Save Uganda Now (SUN)” says it has officially launched a guerrilla war to end the 30-year rule of President Yoweri Museveni.

“We have begun efforts to free our Uganda from tyranny,” the group’s commander a one “Maji Moto” said.

“We all know that constitutionalism died a long time ago and was finally laid to rest on the 19th February 2016. May its soul not rest until constitutionalism is restored.”

SUN has also claimed responsibility of the March 5, 2016 attack on a police station in Kapchorwa district.

The attack happened after 12:15am as coordinated by “two platoons of commandos” from the guerrilla group.

Police story

According to Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, the attackers killed Sergeant Hakim Kaddu posted at Kapchorwa Central Police Station and critically wounded other three police officers who were on duty including; Stephen Labeja, Rukundo Junior and Inspector of Police, Jeremiah Musumba Kayemba.

Grace Patrick Odokonyero, the Kapchorwa district police commander, said about 10 gunmen attacked the police station at about 12:20am in a move to rescue their colleague, John Chemusaka.

Two questions,

South-Africans, is this Zuma's Aide-De-Camp from your military?

Nigerians, why was Zuma provided an ADC from the Nigerian army, any significance?

Those are Nigerian military personnel. The SA presidency has no such position for the military. Constitutional democracy and all that.

Gesture of Goodwill it is. Nigeria doesn't usually accord foreign visiting heads of governments this gesture.

There are many reasons for withdrawing

We have more important things to do with our men.

Yea, like deploying your men inside Nigeria, is more important to you.

The news made all South Africans happy until it was proved false. None of you guys complained about needing your troops elsewhere when it was time to deploy SANDF in Nigeria, you were all very happy to deploy them where the job is now very easy after hundreds of Nigerian troops have died fighting to crush Boko Haram this far.

Yes every South African is happy to abandon Darfur Sudan where the suffering Dafurians have no army, but same South Africans are rejoicing at the news of deploying their special forces to Nigeria that already has a 100,000 man army including 10,000 SF and CT-COIN forces, and a war that has almost ended with Boko Haram heavily degraded and decimated.....yea, shows the world who truly loves Africa and who just wants to hunt for glory.

Pic...Nigerian army SF, CT-COIN.

Chinese have as many varants of one thing as their endless population. According to SIPRI arms transfer reports, Ghana bought WZ 523 IFV from China.

Why are regular/basic South African troops regiments 80% black while South African elite/special units 80% white? Just an observation. Just curious.

What a shame.
