Very good choice for Zambia. Instead of the J-10, Namibia should go for this or the FA-50. Mali, Burkina-Faso, Ivory Coast and Cameroun should also consider the L-15.

Surrounded by neighbors with advanced platforms, the FA-50 would be obsolete.

The only threat they have come from Botswana, That's it. One more, the FA-50 is a light multi-role fighter jet in the same class as the Gripen, JF-17 and LCA. I don't see how the FA-50 is obsolete or less advanced than it's competitors.

Dude, the FA-50 is an advanced trainer don't dare compare it with the Griffin.

Or, instead of starting from scratch, come in as 50% partner with Denel so the Bateleur -stalled after the prototype because of a lack of funds - can finally be developed.
Highly unlikely the development of this aircraft would be resurrected.

Banking world snatched many.

Technically they have no threats but they need to think of the future. Botswan is looking at 8 gripens, Angola as SU30s, and a bunch of older Russian jets and South Africa as Gripens even the L15 is out classed

Namibia should join Botswana in getting Gripens. SAAB and Denel have a full set up support serves in South Africa.
if south African was keen on marketing the gripen and Hawk 120 jet ,may be by now a number of them would have being acquired in Africa.

If Paramount can secure orders in the SADAC region, this would boost the desire for countries across the continent to pick-up units. Just one SADAC sale, Mozambique, Botswana or Zimbabwe.

Normal Police/Intelligence SF kitting. Cool.

SANParks will definitely buy some

It's a missed opportunity considering that Denel assembled most of the SAAF Hawk with ATE (now part of Paramount Group) fitting the avionics. It's could have been a win for the local aviation industry.

I'm relieved NNS Unity is on her way home, however i'm quite disappointed with the manner this second contract ended.

Why do Nigerian generals buy 1 ship like this and 1 ship like that? Why ain't they buying a fleet in a single platform?

the NNS unity is d sister ship of NNS centenary which have been delivered

That is correct to a certain extent, Nigeria dating back to the SHAGARI era either bought ships in pairs or in triplets.

The NNS Aradu was a solo frigate though.

In addition to NNS Aradu, we bought 2 Corvettes. So it was actually a triplet order.

Beautiful UAV. I think Nigeria working with Denel on some projects would be good for us. If it is pride, let us put it down as it will take us no where. I really admire some things coming from SA.
