roxell120: plz I need explanation here.were these "destitutes " missing? or did they go out for greener pastures? if they were nt missing then there is no need for reunion with their families. wait for them in the coming weeks in lagos may be a different location outside where they were picked up.fashola forgets that this life is like wind, it blows people to where it feels convenient.those destitutes knew their villages and how to get there.lagos shud be ready for more deportation cos millions are here and a double of that are on their way coming. lagos population is its strength therefore beggars and destitute know this perfectly. so it should be an unending excercise until the government including lagos creates an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in order to absorb its teeming jobless population. Shut up bro. U tallking trash. |

Do not forget tht cliford orji was pretending to be a mad man while he was doing d business of killing human beings, eating some of them n selling their parts for money. If they didn't arrest d bastard, God knows d number of ppl he would have killed. Yet some idiotic ppl expect d lag govt to allow ppl sleep under d bridge cos they don't have a place to sleep. Do u xpect d lag govt to provide houses for al d beggars n destitute? The best is to reunite them with their families. Let thm be productive. Lagos is filled up already. If u don't have a job and a home in lag, jst go back to ya virrage or u will be REUNITED. Simple 4 Likes |

specco: This is surely a mutually agreed damage control deal between lagos and osun states in other to douse tension that arose from the illegal deportation of Ndigbo lately. Such more deportations of some 'brotherly' indigenes of ogun, oyo, ekiti and even Edo states will soon be horridly put together to fool us the more.u guys should stop this igbo sentiment.was relocation of destitutes from lagos to oyo state in 2010 an arranged one? Fashola has good intention for the destitutes but badly implemented. He needs to be commended for rehabilitating the destitutes,he should be however condemned for not properly handing them over to anambra govt.by now I expect fashola to have sanctioned those who dropd them by 3.00am at onitsha bridge .As for peter obi,he is not a good leader, anybody who promotes inter ethnic- clash and who incites people against each other should be condemned.people wud soon understand.Has Obi ever rehabilitated any destitute in anambra.?why didn't he seek for clarification on the matter b4 he rushed to media and petitioned GEJ? Doesn't he know that supporting Gej wud jeorpadise igbo presidency in 2015 ? Ndigbo fashola's action asis not anti igbo, yorubas were taken back to oyo state in 2010.I am a witness to that. 3 Likes |

ALAKE_OF_EGBA:you have a point there but it still begs a question which has always been the crux of my argument ever since this debacle started. Is it proper to drop people by the side of the road at 3am in the morning & leave them to their fate ? Bear in mind that most of the deportees were not even Anambra indigents... |

Lagos and Osun State governments should come up with something original. I know PR when I see one. The ones dumped in Onitsha at 3 a.m after months of being locked up reminds me of kids dumping dustbin late at night to avoid detection. We ain't fooled gee. |

He said "However, it is unfortunate that most states did not respond to the exercise, which is not good enough, because these people are part of us; we have their relations with us here." When did he become the spokeman for Lagos? APC with their funny politics, we all know who Rauf Aregbesola boss is. Bad track cover-up. |

Political theater from Fashola. He can only do this in the South-West. Let him try to deport "destitutes" back to the South-South, South-East, Middle Belt or North. People are wiser now because Peter Obi put this issue to the forefront. |

no ibos no lagos. no ibos no development.check the statistics in lagos location. ibos competitiveness is too intimidating to their host yorubas.that's y the hate.they flourish in biz cos they are master of the art even without certificate.they keep their customers coming back naturally tru good relationship. but yorubas keep looking for new customers cos they drive the few they ve with abuses.ask me ibos ve commerce at their finger tips. it took them few years to recover from the war ravages unlike any other country. and today no tribe can challenge them economically and living standard. look at the thread, tomorrow ull say one nigeria. keep decieving ourselves. its only oil that unites us.quote me. |

In the name of blind hatred, some people are just hell bent to destroy the accommodating docile, respectfull and regardful humane kind large hearted nature of the Yorubas. Infact are more engrossed at destroying them, they claim to be mainly Christians though but are worse than Boko Haram, they never see anything good in the Yoruba andYorubaland except the opportunities to make money not life in the land. I have a news for them, The givers ( of land, accomodation and opportunities ) hand always stays on top while the taker will always be beneath, All the wealth and so called ownership is at a tenure of 99 years after which everybody bears his fathers name. NOBODY BEGS THE HUNHBACK TO STRETCH WHEN THE TIME COMES. I really don't react to the rants. 2 Likes |
