At least he can made a mini mart owner and make decent earnings. Since the nations cup concluded, ekong hasn’t featured for his club side and is probably lacking “match fitness” nonetheless, I expect him to be invited for Ghana game considering that he is vice captain. If Eguavoen invites Ekong despite not playing since ANC concluded, I expect nwakali to also be invited. I was very impressed with nwakali cameo at the ANC and we’re lacking players with his skillset at the super eagles |

The reality is that in the HERE and NOW he is better than Omeruo. But we will hold on to the past and not progress. You guys just like complaining. Bassey was previously invited and he would most likely be invited in the upcoming future. There’s no need to complain . Also, he plays in a much higher ranked league than omeruo |

I think you’re mistaken “prime Dede” vs “present Dede” the present Dede is a mere shadow of prime Dede and he plays at a retirement league. charlesemeka85: mind you I never advocated for him to replace any of the more experienced heads we hv already in the cb position but said he will be a good cover as well as understudy to the veterans
Playing in Scotland is not that bad especially when one is playing week in week out for one of the traditional clubs not only in Scottish football but Britain as well.
He is already attracting scouts from the epl and serie A which implies he is doing well for himself and has the chances of metamorphosing into a dreaded cb in the future I agree on his career trajectory being upward but I was responding to the individual that insisted on him starting the next game vs Ghana |

For your info he is already scouted by Westham and their is possibilities he will make the move in the summer with other epl teams interested. For his age and judging by where he joined rangers from (Leicester’s 2nd team) he has made a lot of progress already with more to come going forward He has to play at a bigger league and be better in order to replace the players already at a bigger league. If you want to replace ekong or akpoguma at the big 5, sign for a big 5 team let’s access your performance |

Same way Dessers, Amoo, Samuel Adegbenro should have been at the AFCON at least on the bench. At the expense of who? Remember, a team can only invite 11, 23 or 28 man squad. Dessers, yes but the remaining absolutely No. let them perform at a better league before thinking of the super eagles. Super eagles is a place for the absolute best - No exceptions. charlesemeka85: koulibaly started from Belgium for moving to Napoli and becoming a household name
There is still possibilities that those I mention may turn out to star in bigger leagues and clubs in Europe judging by the case that they re still young and emerging talents especially bassey and ozonwafor Yes, until then, we can only hope they become world class. The level of a player club is very important in measuring his capabilities as a player. For example, as bad as ekong is being criticized playing at the Epl, if you put him at the Scottish, psl or Belgium league, he would be one of the best players at those leagues. Let bassey come to a big 3 in order to access his ability |

Bassey is head and shoulders above every CB we have. Pace, strength, awareness, positioning, good on the ball. He has everything needed. maidaboi: Ok with a bit more research it looks like the main issue was that his contract runs out in June and Huesca were trying to sell him to another club (Burgos) in the league for some money, but since he didn't return in time that deal fell through and regardless he will leave as a free agent.
Copied I think that’s part of the issue and not the only issue. He allegedly returned late from Afcon and the club are punishing him for such unprofessionalism. As for nwakali, idk what else to say to him. Eguavoen tried to resuscitate your career and you displayed such unprofessionalism towards your club knowing that your invitation is also contingent on “club time” I hope that he can get out of this because it will be sad if he doesn’t |

Danielnino00: So you will invite Onuachu just to come and try and nod some hopeful cross into the net?
Knowing how to score from headers isn't always about height.. Jota is one of the best header of the ball in the premier league today and he is among the shortest players in Liverpool..It's all about good positioning and having a good crosser at the other end... Our wingers are poor at crossing because it isn't their style.. Chukwueze is a left footed right winger.. His right foot is weak..he can't cross!! Simon is also a right footed left winger..he likes to cut in and dribble.. Ejuke likewise... We aren't in the era of Findi, Babangida and Pius Ikedia abeg.. I will invite onuachu because he brings a different skillset to the team that can be utilized in case plan A doesn’t work. For example, if the Ghanaians decide to park the bus (high possibility) and our wingers becomes ineffective, onuachu heading abilities becomes useful. Na to tell dem say, “a child wey say ein mama no go sleep, ein sef no go sleep” Also, just because you’re an inverted winger shouldn’t affect your ability to cross. Ultimately, you’re still a winger and perfect crossing should be your first responsibility as a winger. Finidi George was a skillful dribbler but it didn’t affect his football intelligence or adequate crosses. Infact, our only goal vs denmark at the 1998 World Cup was a left side crossing by Finidi |

zuchyblink: Onuachu's problem is his age. Nigeria is known for age manipulation. Onuachu is almost 28 and I know they must have added 7 years to his age. Tell me one Nigeria player born in Nigeria that made a big money switch at 27. Let’s be mindful of how we accuse our players of age falsification because such unverified accusations could be long lasting and dismissive of a player career. You don’t have any evidence of him adding “7 years” to his career, why are you writing such Lies on a public platform knowing how uzoho career trajectory ended because of similar accusations? Anyway, in modern football that we have the likes of ibra and Ronaldo excelling at 40, 37 respectively, 27 is a young age |

komekn: Once again l reiterate, you don't come to the SE to learn it's too short a time sequence. If you dont know how to cross the ball instinctively with precision in your club and league week in week out. Then you are not going to learn that in the SE.
You pick players because of what they can do here and now, proven and tested by their consistent top level performances in club and league. I agree that super eagles should be a place of the best. But, our wingers should practice crosses at their club side and follow through at the SE |

PetroDolla2020: The problem with you nigerians is that you like to boast too much. You guys forget that football is played on the field, not with mouth
Every single time Nigeria is playing Ghana, Nigerians will come out talking big and boasting. But almost every time Ghana had won How many times have Eguavoen won as a coach against Ghana? Was he not the coach when the Black Stars beat Super Eagles 4-1?
Even your goalie trainer Agu or whatever his name is, had his tooth broken during a crucial game at the Kumasi stadium during his playing days. He never found that tooth till today.
As a Ghanaian, I am not losing any sleep over the game with Nigeria. Ghana will win at Cape Coast and get a draw at Abuja. Case closed I disagree sir. During your golden generation 2007 - 14 the era of micheal essien, muntari, appiah, KPB and gyan, your team were much talented than us and I admitted such. Also, I am not saying that it’s a guarantee that we would defeat your team. I am only saying that on current team, 1 v 1 our bench is even more talented than your first 11. It’s up to our coach to do his part because like the Tunisians shown, talent isn’t enough to win a game. One needs Adequate planning, tactics, formation and good luck on their side |

Danielnino00: Please make una dead this "our wingers need to cross" talk.. Modern day wingers are moving away from the era of cross and inshallah..Most wingers these days play as inverted wingers.. Leave the crossing job for the fullbacks..In most teams, it's the fullbacks that cross.. If our wingers should resort to crossing the ball all the time, the striker will be isolated unless we are playing a two man striking formation Guy, it should be a possibility simply because opponents has realized how to defeat us. They simply pack the bus and hope for a fortuitous goal and game over. Our wingers and full backs should practice crossing incase our opponents decide to “pack the bus” this is where “Paul onuachu” becomes important. I will invite him for the Ghana game |

Subzero47: Wetin dem no train them for club you can't give what you don't have, I found that a way to curb selfishness in wingers is to play them in their natural side i.e (a right footed player plays on the right side of the pitch) that way they have no option than to cross Bro, I feel like they’re inverted wingers that cut in and out but crossing should be practiced. Basically, if Plan A isn’t working, Eguavoen should act quickly and switch positions. In the olden times, a winger first attribute is to learn how to cross the ball and if a winger cannot cross adequately, he should practice |

I expect the Ghanaians to use similar tactics that the Tunisians and Car used to defeat us but I hope Eguavoen can be very alert and tactical |
