Guys please what is the valid average mileage of cars imported from US. Dealers keep saying most of such vehicles have their odometers doctored before getting to Nigerian market. Specifically what can be the mileage of a 2007 camry.

The best thing to do is a VIN Check, Personally i don't think that idea of "average" mileage is valid. for instance i know a guy that has a 2007 camry bought brand new in Nigeria in 2007, yet the mileage on the car is just over 12,000.(he hardly uses it) while for me in just three months i have racked up an additional mileage of 20,000 in my car in less than a year(i travel alot)

So your question is relative. you can not get a clear cut figure rather do a VIN check, get someone to inspect the engine, if possible do a scan if there are warning lights on the dashboard.

You will be looking at an average of 5k to 10k a year

Thanks, but can I accept that a camry 2007 from US with 150k mileage is still in good state? I donnot have the VIN yet. He says the low-mileage cars are all doctored.

Mileage of 80 to 90k should be good for that car. 150 k is high, but it is better if well maintained than a dubiously rolled back mileage. Insist on getting the VIN and get the service history. Good luck.

The mileage on a car has nothing to do with the vehicle, when you do a car fax ,make sure you check the maintenace section, camry are good vehices and I don't think you should have a problem...

Less than 100k miles should be ok
