Avast Antivirus Does Not Allow Applications To Run! by worldgee: 10:13pm On Aug 27, 2013
Pls help. I got a new hp elitebook laptop wt Windows7 ultimate 32 bits & installed Avast antivirus but started 2 notice dat my major apps (coreldraw, e-sword bible, photoshop, etc) are not allowd 2 install: cos Avast antivirus sees d installers/set up files as virus.

Pls what do I do? Or is it d function of d type of anti virus or OS? Or what antivirus does nt clash wt applicatns?

Thks in adv.

Tks guys 4 dis tips.
1. It was installed together wt other apps at d point of sales n I didn't note d order of installatn: whether it came last on not. D truth now is I'm in another state now n dont even hv d installer disk: as to uninstal n re-installng it. Is d free editn downloadable? And wil it b compartible? Pardon my ignorance pls!

Even now if I get a way around it, does dis suggest dat I wont b able to instal more apps in d nearest future than what I already hv in d sys?

2. Pls note dat it used to terminate my installer file ever b4 popping up d dialogue box where u hv d optns of open in sandbox or open normally.

Based on ur adv. I checkd thru 'Settings' bt cant find hw to permanently set dis to 'open normally' or so. Pls hw do I go abt it?

The problem here is that you are familiar with your antivius.
Common, get familiar with Avast settings:
Go to Tools >>Sandbox and remove any of your program running in that zone

No be greek I dey speak,
Avast gives you an option to terminate/continue with the execution of running such program. So, all you have to do is to change the sandbox settings.
Except you are trying to run virus infected programs
