naijacutee: Unilever (then Lever Brothers) came to Nigeria in 1923, and as one of the first, their product range in Nigeria is 90 years old this year.

Here's a link to their history in Nigeria: http://www.unilevernigeria.com/aboutus/ourhistory/Default.aspx

Blue Band Margarine and Close Up toothpaste are also from them. I'm still looking for more products.

Close up is a product of the 70s . Maclean's , Pepsodent and Prodent all came before it.

femialiu: don't know of products but UAC and PZ Cussons are two business that are older than Nigeria...their products av changed over the years so it may be impossible for you to see products that has lasted 100 years.. however some of their very old products include canoe soap, swan water, president paint, Stella pomade, elephant detergent, tempo, coast milk, duck bar soap, joy, imperial leather...check their website for more.... I hope I've helped a bit

Even the older products like duck soap. Are not upto 60 yrs old. Elephant detergent can't be more than 40 years. There was no detergent in the Nigerian market 60 years ago and probably none in the world market 100 years ago.

Na wa o. Looking at the comments, I see so many people who think Nigeria only came into existence upon gaining independence.

Hmmm... This ASUU issue is a really serious one. sad
