Following the recovened meeting by the academic staff union of university the national executive council(NEC) ASUU has finaly decided to put an end to strike to enable academic works move this decision is as the result of the threat given to ASUU members and persuasion by different stake holders involved coupled with FG forceful order to reopen varsities nationwide ASUU chairman Dr Nasiru isa fagae said that the union will still go back to strike if after 6(six) months govt failed to honour the half part of the agreement reach with them in 2009 ASUU having recieved N130bn as earned allowance decided to end the five months strike directing lecturers to go back to class room as from wednesday 4th November 2013 for continuation of academic session
