you guys are all very ignorant panic loving peons. there will be no real war here. the U.S is going to bomb a few strategic syrian assets and then move out. the objective is not to win the war for the rebels but rather to send a message about the usage of chemical weapons because the U.S would not want a situation were it would go to war with Iran and Iran would use chemical weapons on them or were hamas, hezbollah and others would begin bombing Istael with chemical weapons. the U.S has no clear preffered winner in the Syrian civil war because on one side Assad is backed by Iran and on the other hand the rebels are pretty much an Al qaeda faction.

I doubt china will do anything directly, they have a policy of no interference though they might secretly supply ammunition's to syria via russia. The people that might intervene is Iran and Russia because Russia has lots of interest in Syria, the war wull be a tussle for who will become the new world power after america. Iran or Russia

In my opinion, the solution is very simple, Russia which has strong ties with the Assad regime should offer the Syrian president and his cohorts asylum, that would be a major game changer.

I honestly don't think its an issue of asylum as the aim of the us here is to gain total control of the country and everything that pertains to it, so granting Assad asylum is actually out of the question..

This is not an Assange or Snowden case as these are just fleeing refugees with no kingdom to protect

Russia economy is not fast crashing, get your point clear, Russia economy is strong and you do not hear about them, because your slave masters always want you to see want they want you to see only. Let Israel try and attack russia, it was Hezbollah that got them crying the other time, they only went around to engage with innocent civillians in Lebanon. Putin have given Assad a full backing, China have done the same along with Iran, Saudi-Arabia, Qatar and Turkey is only deceiving Obama because they already have a plan b on their project which they do not even need to involve Syria.

American Economy is fast crashing. They do not show you that, at the end of the war, America will have no funds again and will have to resort to start borrowing funds, which makes them loose their strength.

Come to think of it, how many countries are on America's Side? Even Germany Chancellor have kept Mute, only Hollande who is not even sure of winning his second term is blabbing at the moment.

So this is the world politics that I don't know about?

I NEVER said granting Bashar al-Assad asylum would totally solve the problem

Here are my reasons why I believe granting President Bashar al-Assad asylum is his best option and would be a MAJOR GAME CHANGER:

1. Of all the deposed rulers which were victims of the Arab spring (Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen), those who were offered asylum seem to be getting on quite well with their lives compared to Muammar Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak so if I were president Assad, I'll be worried what would happen to me if I step down?

2. Its simpler for him to step down for one of his subordinates whom the opposition tolerates, who he could also mandate to protect most of his interest(because as it is, he can't have all of his interest protected anymore) than to die in office or go to jail.

3. If he gets asylum in Russia and relocates there, NOBODY would be able to touch him, at least not for another 10 years or more as long as Russia's interest don't change. During this time, he can repair his relationships and political career

The earlier he plans and executes the asylum escape route, the better for him (This would give him time to relocate his assets/loot and choose a successor, he can even come to okija shrine with his selected successor to swear )

I suggest you read about the Iraq-Iran war again (that's if you ever read it in the first place). The western backed Iraq initially made head-way invading an unprepared Iran, but the Iranians were able to turn tge war around in their favour. That war ended in a stalemate though.

The Syrian government has written to US Congress, warning members against supporting "irresponsible, reckless action" that it claims will injure innocent civilians.
The letter, seen by Sky News, urges Congress to "communicate with us through civilised dialogue rather than the language of fire and blood".
It was sent just days before members are due to vote on whether to approve the use of military force in Syria.
The US holds Syrian President Bashar al Assad's regime responsible for a chemical attack last month, in which it estimates more than 1,400 people were killed.
"We write to you as fathers and mothers, as members of families and communities which really are not so different to yours," the Syrian letter states.

"Moreover, we write to you as human beings asking: if you bomb us, shall we not bleed? Innocent people will be harmed."
The five-page letter, which references quotes from former president Franklin D. Roosevelt, claims an attack could trigger a "bloody, destructive, catastrophic" conflict.
It continues: "Logically, what is the benefit of the Syrian government to commit a chemical attack during the visit of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria within less than four miles from the Commission's residence at the Four Seasons Hotel (in Damascus)?

if it was Russia that mounted military pressure on Afghanistan and then Iraq for as long as America did previously, what do you fink would have happened to Russia's economy by now?
