calculusx: In every situation, lets always give thanks. It could have been worse than this. Avoid taking Alcohol while driving.

None of the tyres deflated,it was a reckless driving under the influence of Alcohol (Elliot) from the pic below. Thanks to NLers for standing by me in this time of trial.

wow, so it's even a known Nairalander that owns the car lot - calculux, na you?

Thanks God they made it out alive but....they wld av wished they hadn't because, the occupants and the driver, who are not original owners of the car, had 'within a few seconds' been indebted to an estimated value of N6m on the spot'. These includes the cost of the infinity Jeep, a camry and the 4runner itself.

So you think three soul is not worth 6 million naira. The bible says a soul is worth more than the whole world. This is the devastating devaluation that sin has done to humanity. But Jesus has come to redeem and destroy the work of the enemy-the devil. So accept Him and your life worth will be restored. Shalom

Jarus:

Even if it is 100m, it doesn't equate losing their life at all.

In any case, they may have a good case in court not to repay the cars owners, if it is proved that the driver was not drunk and took good precaution. 'Act of God' argument in court may help them.

Lol! Bros, how does Force Majeure apply in a case like this; abi the driver and Auto Dealer get business before? undecided Nope, in court the driver will be asked to present his insurance. If it doesn't cover his liabilities in this instance, he is on a longgggg tin.

iamdsam: Why didn't he change his tyre before embarking on the journey? And at the same time in full speed. He should be charged to court and persecuted accordingly

Just hear yourself out. So a ride of that class would not have good tires abi? even brand new tire could burst @ anytime plus the tires will not tell the reckless driver not to overspeed. I doubt if you know anything bout driving. Hope uv filed the case too

Persecuted??.....

The courts do not persecute, they 'Prosecute'....

Learn to avoid grammatical constructions that are alien to you or better still, check the words to confirm they are fit to be used in the context.

Life and living are both learning curves, so please take note.

I am sure you believe in paradise, how is 6M better than paradise? Unless you are saying you are not sure if there is a paradise. I have always find it difficult to understand, how you religious people cling to this world, in spite of all the good life that awaits you guys at the other side of the divide.

Good to know that guys came out with their lives intact.

The drive should never have driven the car with flat Tyre. Also driving fast with flat tyres
Re: Car Accident At Mushin, Lagos (pictures) by Nobody: 11:02am On Sep 16, 2013
laivwire: Speeding around a bend with a deflated tyre? shocked. In one word 'reckless'. Thank God no life was lost sha.

The thing is, no one knows if they were driving too fast, or were driving at about the normal speed, had a blow-out and lost control. You don't have to be driving too fast for a blow-out to cause loss of control, especially if you panic, and stamp on the brake pedal.

So don't be too quick to judge, none of us were there.

Jeeze! Have you ever had a blow-out? You feel changing your tyres can prevent a blow-out? Does changing your tyres remove potential sharp objects from Nigeria roads?

And as for "full speed". Were you an eye witness? What do you class as "full speed"?

It ALWAYS pays to reason, before you talk yourself into a situation you wouldn't want to be in.

A closer look @ the pics below showed they were driving recklessly under the influence of alcohol on a Sunday Afternoon The 2nd pic (after the incident) showed they had no flat tyre. Its just so unfortunate but all the same in every situation one have to give thanks. The SUV could have caught fire and that would have been another story entirely
