There is different. Medical lab science is a 5 years course while medical lab technician is a 2 to 3 year course. The science do d clinical work while d technician do d collection and recording of sample information.

Please What course would someone likely get when you apply to a University with ND Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) in Polytechnic?

Oh really! I was told that they online accept N.D. Its a good thing that they also accept Tech certificate. We really need a guidance counsellor here on Nairaland.

Medical lab tech do carry out experiment in the lab but under the supervision of a certified medical lab scientist. Med lab tech is also synonymous to pharmacy tech, both under supervision.

i also tot dey do same thing..i wonder hw our nija system of education reads tins...so if med lab tech holder wants to further wat level wud be given to him or her, and if proberbly have HND certificate too

On completion of your med lab tech problem, you'd be awarded a tech certificate and given a med lab tech license. Peradventure you want to further, you will have to take Jamb as there is no provision for Direct entry.
