striktlymi:

On point!
Na so my bro. Mandela could also have seized South Africa's economy but he realized what his people needed the most at that moment was "FREEDOM".

Now, the rise of the Black South Africans is in motion and it can only get better for them.

ba7man: Mugabe had the right intentions but executed it wrongly.

Retreiving lands that have been under ownership of the Whites for decades is not something that should be done within short notice. It takes wisdom, not force.

He could have simply told the Whites to give up an agreed percentage of their lands to black farmers using the fact that the lands were acquired forcefully by them as a bargaining chip. He also should have made them sign to assist the Black farmers with Agricultural knowledge.

That way, He still retains his economy, empower his people and still be at peace with the World.
You don't seem to understand the situation. "He could have simply told the white farmers to give up an agreed percentage". Of course the "white farmers" would have said NO, accused the govt of arm twisting and blackmail, and resisted, just like they did when the seizures were announced following Britain's reneging on its obligation. You need to understand that the white minority had NO INTENTION of surrendering the land at all. They did not accept fundamentally the need for redistribution, either gradually or in the short term. There was no 'nice way' of getting the land off them, especially after their benefactor, Britain, pulled out of the Lancaster house agreement, which had spelt out a gradual redistribution process. So please try to understand the crisis before taking sides with foreign thieves and oppressors.

Nigeria is a failing state, would you trade it for Zimbabwe?

You are a failed human being. Would you trade yourself for a dispossessed white farmer?

When the blacks won the war in 1979 / 1980 because of the Lancaster Agreement facilitated by Britain, the black magnanimously allowed whites to retain land for 20 years after being persuaded by Britain on the understanding at as part of the agreement, Britain would provide the the funds to compensate whites who stood to lose land as part of the planned Land Distribution Programme.

So after waiting 20years, Britain reneged on their part of the agreement to provide the funds to compensate the whites who stood to lose land as part of the Land Distribution Programme;
what do you expect Mugabe to do then?

start asking/begging whites to voluntary give up an agreed percentage of their land?

My friend you got to get real !

Mugabe did the right thing and he did it lawfully through law and courts, the whites that were forcefully ejected from land or killed and injured where those who decided to defy court orders / police
