This name God called himself 'I AM' has a sense of power and authority and mystery and eternity around it to me. To me, it speaks of the highness and loftiness of God. Who MAKES HIMSELF KNOWN to men. I just can't help praising God when I think of this name.

One more serious matter. Anyone who sincerely seeks God and studies the bible becomes amazed at the weight of its prophecies and the guilt of God's law. If they go further, they get to the new testament, and get to truly know God further in the person of Jesus Christ. Yeah. Once you come to him, problem solved. Most atheists and others shy from the words he spoke because of his CLAIMS, his life, character, power, signs and I think most notable: THE POWER OF HIS WORDS! Those words hold reality. It's amazing that to think of God and to understand and measure his character(like we all do), we think of the man Christ Jesus. His love, his love, his zeal, his love; for man, for the poor, and his anger for the proud. God resists the proud you see.

Here's one of jesus' claims wrt this topic:

John 8:58
58  Jesus replied, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I AM.

Hallelujah! You can't find that in any religious notion. You can't find the miracles he made as proof of his words, his death and ressurection as proof of his words anywhere else. The words of this man shaped the lives of many today.

THIS MAN CLAIMED TO BE GOD
THIS MAN WAS GOD IN FLESH

The same God who told moses to say to the israelites: 'I AM sent you.'

Glory to God in the highest. That beats everything I've ever experienced or heard or seen in my life.

The more ponder this, the more baffled and inspired I become. At God's wonder and might and his CREATIVITY in the person of Jesus. This same awesome and terrible God stood before the Israelites and walked among them and did awesome things and declared that he was 'I AM'. This same I AM is among us and in us today in the person of the holy spirit.
