Anambra People, Take A Look At Imo State And Vote Wisely by Onyegecha(f): 8:08am On Oct 01, 2013
It is often said that one should look at the mother of any girl he wants to marry. If he likes what he sees, it's a green light but if not, he should run as fast as he can.
If Okorocha is the one that is out to install Ngige as Anambra governor, then it stands to reason that he will be part of the administration directly or indirectly. To that extent, Anambra people have an advantage that we in Imo did not have. We did not understand the implications of the twin evils of Rochanomics and Rochacracy before we jumped into the crazy boat.
Anambra people should take a peep into Imo and decide what they want for their state.

Do they want our kind of heath care? ?(No single state-owned hospital that is fit to treat a human being in the entire state)
Do they want our kind of school system? (Near-zero education passing for free education; a big fraud)
Do they want our fourth tier madness?( A recipe for chaos and confusion that has yielded nothing but rancour)
Do they want our dry taps or dirty streets and markets?
Do they want our kind of civil service? (Corruption -infested, Workers are defrauded, sacked arbitrarily, not motivated.)
Do they want our style of contract awards?( Not documented, planned to defraud contractors, substandard works everywhere)
Do they want our local government system?( All 27 LGs in critical comatose state)
Do they want our youth empowerment strategy? (No employment, defrauded, deceived, used and dumped, pushed into crime)
Do they want our pension management style?(Paid 12years arrears on radio, fed with lies and starved to frustration and death)
Do they want our policy somersaults, now a culture?
Do they want our government by promises?
Do they want the regime of vindictiveness?( bulldozers pulling down houses and establishments of perceived enemies?
Do they want this penchant for wiping out the projects and legacies of predecessors?
Do they want a regime of utter wastefulness and profligacy?

The ball is in their court.

That is a defeatist, narrow and very shallow analysis of the issue. Why choose blindly when the track records and credentials of all the major candidates are before us?

If we'r to dismiss candidates because they'r "unknown" then Fashola would never have been governor. Then Obama would never have been president. Then Sullivan Chime would never have been governor. Then Donald Duke would never have been governor. Then Amaechi would never have been governor.

If we go with the mentality of rejecting the "unknown" then the world have remained static.

Ngige is not unknown. He was former governor for about 3 years. He is presently a senator. So also Obiano is not unknown. He worked at a multinational oil company and also worked for decades at Fidelity Bank. All the candidates have history. An analysis that is FAIR and makes SENSE is the assessment of the history of performance of the candidates based on the various positions they held before. For instance, how did Ngige perform as governor for 3 years? How did Obiano perform while he was working at Fidelity Bank, Multinational Oil Company, etc? That is the assessment that makes SENSE.

You cannot dismiss Obiano simply because he has not been governor before. Ngige was not born a governor. Each of the candidates should be assessed fairly and on individual MERIT.

@OP..,Rochas is a DISASTER. Imo State has been without a cabinet for over 2 months. But rather than constitute a cabinet to get GOVERNANCE going in Imo, Rochas is busy playing politics. He's moving from state to state, sponsoring political campaigns on TV. In many of the northern states and on some national TV stations, Rochas' TV political commercials run non-stop. How does he pay for these commercials?

Its just zero-tolerance †̥☺ opposition that is the bane of development in Nigeria. Remember when we had only MTN in Nigeria, sim cards went fø̲̣̣я̅ above N30k and you needed connection †̥☺ get it. With strong competition (or opposition if U̶̲̥̅̊ like), price of sim cards dropped †̥☺ N50 or zero naira (just come and register).
Strong Opposition guarantees better life and stronger economy. In all nations that are world powers, they have strong no-nonsense highly vibrant oppositions. Nations like Zimbabwe where presidents rule fø̲̣̣я̅ lifetime, zero oppositions.

That your political opinion is not accepted by all does not make anyone satanic. Okorocha and Ngige sacrificed the political interest of their people for personal political ambition and they would be made to pay for it.

please ignore that castrated zombie. His ilk are actually the ones clamoring for a dictatorial one party state with their own party in power. The term "true democracy" is anathema to them eg lg elections in Edo state & Ekiti state's Fayemi vs his party member Bamidele. We know them well, their antecedents are legend even here on nairaland, they just blame others for the crimes they themselves have committed

@Onyegecha, I don't know what to say yet. But as for Okorosha his disastrous failure in providing dividend of democracy has messed his career up. I keep saying it that Imo state people threw away Ohakim with the bad water, he was actually far better than this presetn clown. The combined clowns of okorosha and Ngige cannot even win Alor, ngige's home town talk more of Anambra.

Our votes has since gone in advance to Obiano the technocrat.

The evil called okorosha should not be allowed to step into any part of Anambra. I even heard that his father hails from Taraba state. What a shame to have an aboki as a governor of Imo state.

And some fools will come here to show us shabbily done roads as dividend of democracy when in real terms the entire state does not have a single decent hospital that can treat human being. Even with all the loans he has borrowed what I can see is zero government presence. A friend of mine from Arondizogu is doing his trad marriage next week but I won't go because of very bad and dangerous roads across rural areas in imo state

Before next elections, Anambra people should pls ask Ngige if he has gone to renew his contract at okija shrine or he has signed a contract at a new shrine. These little things are important you know grin.... Also ask him if he is willing to be loyal to his brand spanking new godfathers so as to avoid another kidnapping saga

Oh! Oga Jona is not playing politics when he spends quality time running from one political entity to another with the intent to resolve the political crises in the PDP? I'm aware there are vacancies in his own cabinet too. By the way how did Oga Jona pay for the political jamboree organized by his wife recently in Abuja under the guise of celebrating Nigerian women.
