This is more reason why some region failed to work in this coutry. If Osun state relocated some student from school to another so as to creates employment i wonder why some fools, who do not know how to build robust economy like their brother in presidency will begin to criticise.
How many graduates can this government employ with few available jobs in Nigeria? If you are in position, would you turn down investement for just relocation of school to another place? This is why Nigeria can't work because some nincompoos among us lack basic knowledge of economy growth and its factors. If some Nigerians do not see anything wrong in privatisation of PHCN to rogues how would they know about more hardship involved in this fudus privatisation? Fine we are inpatient to witness constant power supply but not to add salt into injury by hadling or subjecting us to more slavery internally. The constitution has unambigiously states that the viberant sector of economy drives must be protect and manage by the government. for Jonathan to private PHCN to his fellow rogues, some who fraudulently collected subsidy money, is a charm and call for his impeachment outrightly.

God bless you jare
geeez: Depending on the city plan, it's possible to take out a school for a mall

When it comes to investment in education, no other state comes close to Osun under Aregbesola

Be that as it may, those from erosion ravaged regions calling Osun poor should bury their heads in shame.

Osun State's IGR as it stands at N1.6bn monthly is higher than the IGR of Abia (N650m) and Anambra (N450m) put together. It will even leave some change to intimidate Ebonyi's monthly IGR

Outside Lagos, Rivers and Oyo, the state had the fourth highest GDP in southern Nigeria for 2012

And you say the state is poor even when it has the lowest unemployment rate in Nigeria translating to increased purchasing power

Hate with sense

@MOD,Please why the hidden post. So education is not worth it in Osun and after you people will sit and tell me Your APC crap. Well, I only have pity for these little ones, and the government should remember that EDUCATION is the highest investment a state can give a child. These APC people are just group of inconsiderate Agberos, your children will definitely ask you questions some day.

For sure the ACN/APC currently dominating south west politics does not give preference to education. It seems they are keen on raising area boys to compete with the almajiris of the north. Very soon we will be importing people from other states to work for us at a premium.
No yoruba state on the outstanding UBE awards as reported here.

Rivers State had also received N400 million for its outstanding implementation of the Universal Basic Education (UBE) programme, using the 2009 Federal Government/UBE intervention fund. President Goodluck Jonathan presented the cheque to Amaechi in Abuja, during the “Good Performance Award to State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBS), organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Adamawa state, which came second, got a cheque of N300 million, while Kebbi state emerged third.

Ayekotoo:

I don't know why you take igbos serious in this country. Igbos are known to be comedians. Anambra state currently can't stand Osun in Nigeria not to talk of Ogun and Oyo.
Yorubas run the Nigerian economy while Igbos are into trades.
i take everyone seriously because there's always an opportunity to learn new things everyday from the people we come across irrespective of tribe. The op was wrong turning this into anotha SW/SE tribal e-war, it does more harm than good even if its for fun . Its also wrong for otherwise matured minds to condescend to his level like kids when reporting and getting him banned would have been a more effective option. But then again, its a free world
