There are many reasons why there is a high rate of unmarried big girls in Nigeria. Many, mostly men are still baffled why most girls don't seem at all interested in marriage. Is it pretense or is it that most don't really care. See the reasons below:

THEY RECEIVE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FROM FELLOW WOMEN and those in the act say they prefer it to whatever a man has to offer.

FINANCIAL SUCCESS:
Gone are the days when men bestrode the financial sector as the proverbial colossus. The reality is that women are catching up very fast and doing quite well. In fact, most analysts believe that in the next 20 years women will take over global finance. As it is, more and more women are beginning to see financial success more important than marriage.

CAREER PURSUIT:

Yeah, our sisters are coming out more focused in their career pursuit and dreams like never before. They see success in their various careers as more important and they are no longer enamored by the allure of a married life. Recent statistics about marriage and divorce has not helped either.
