The flash fiction category accepts entries under 300 words and is open online to enter, review and ultimately vote a winner.:

BELOW IS THE WRITE UP FOR THE COMPETITION

I’m an alien, trapped in a human body, Extraterrestrial disguised among earthlings. Lost in another creature’s planet. I search earth for an open portal back to my extra-planetary dimension. Buying time till I can find my way home. Humans doubt my existence, using vocabulary like ‘Unidentified Flying Objects’ meanwhile I’m right before their eyes but they can’t see me, camouflaged in their very own meat suit. I’ve learnt to like & live amongst them.

Feigning their weak emotions, traditions & religions. I watch them fight, get hurt and give up all they can for a feeling they call love. I see them surpass their ability, defy the odds with their will power. They accept their weakness as the reason of their very existence, “I’m only HUMAN” so they say. Between their seven continents there are so many different believes & ideologies to go round a thousand planets but they still believe in each another. They divide for a small cause but unite for a greater purpose.

They’ve rubbed off me somehow. I have somewhat been humanized, feeling tads of emotions, I almost empathize with them. My search for my true existence has become forlorn with hope. I fear their governments hide my true existence behind the smoke screens of hoaxes & Science-Fiction, making caricatures of my kind in best selling novels & blockbuster movies.

I have no memories of my past in my alien abode, I’m bound to earth with this amnesia, unable to prove my existence even
to myself. I fear I’m a delusional earthling who seeks a sense of belonging to alienic abodes having lost empathy with humanity or perhaps an alien who has is trapped in human body with no memory or connection to his original abode.
