Preventing spam registrations and comments is one of the most tasking part of web development. Spammers are not humans, but bots (software robots) that flood your website with spam posts or comments. Most web developers have develop plugins and modules to stop spammers but these are not so effective. After 6 years experience in web design and development, I've discovered that for you to spot spammers, you only need to take control of your registration page. 1. Limit the maximum username length to 10
2. Upper case letter, lower case letter, and number must be included in password or username

3. Stop anonymous users accessing comment box or shout box.
