Why Do OAPs Have British/american Accents? by oluamid(m): 12:16pm On Oct 06, 2013
Recently, I have found myself spending more time listening to radio than watching television and I noticed a kind of trend among the On Air Personalities. Most of the OAPs speak with either a British or American accent and though they do it well (or so I think), it kind of make me wonder if it's a requirement for the job.

So do OAPs have to speak like "ajebo" or what?

I don't understand why they need to be forming an accent tbh. Just speak English. Pretty pathetic tbh.

^^

Its really funny when someone who has never left the shores of this great country start speaking like a Brit. Its even funnier when the person forgets him/herself for a moment and speaks normally only to once again switch to the accent.
