Hello ex-corpers & corpers, I congratulate everyone who has gone through the NYSC scheme and served this country or is still serving this country I've heard and seen corpers doing crazy things with their khakis after the Passing-Out Parade. Some tore it, some dumped it in the bin, some gave it away, some burnt it etc. I was planning to dispose of mine but a fellow Batch A colleague requested for it, so I 'll be keeping it for him If you're an ex-corper, what did you do with your kit after the POP? If you're still serving, what do you intend to do with your kit after passing out. This is a thread for all, lets share. . .

I'm not an immediate past corp member but i'll say anyway. My jungle boot was booked by a villager(farmer) before hand, so i naturally passed it down. My crested vest is still somewhere in my box looking fresh. My khaki jacket subbed as a cardigan for a while before it finally shrunk to and I have no idea where the trouser is My socks went to charity. She was very happy 5 Likes |

That white shoe that hurts like hell, i disposed it in camp. Jungle boot fell apart during service. Khaki and crested vest made it home but crested vest became rag and khaki is in one corner I can't remember |

I remember my class in secondary school used our brothers' own to play inter-classes football competition. My crested vest and boot was given to a boy in the neighbourhood, the khaki wares were dumped in my apartment in trans ekulu. |

I passed out among the batch B corps members this year. My kits, basically the khaki, crested vest, and Jungle boots are still in my box. I hope to show them to my kids one day. A mentor of mine did it, so I learned that from him. I think it's unusual. 5 Likes |

This is really funny! I threw the crested vest away few months ago. The khaki jacket serve as cardigan till date (it was even used last night ).........when the cold is server, the khaki trouser will go with the jacket. My kid Bro inherited the stocks. I use the jungle boot each time I wanna step into the jungles in my area. The canvass is used each time I wanna toss football with my kid Bro #Team2008BatchC# 6 Likes |

My crested shirt was all strechy and deformed after washing it like 3 times. As a result I didn't wear it more than 4 times thruout my service year. The Khaki and the boots were all dumped after I finished. I don't know of now but in 2008, the materials were of very low quality |
