With the current situation in Nigeria, do you think there is a job that can quickly absorb an unknown person who just finished studying abroad? Don't forget that the Chairman and the Managers of the organization have children studying abroad too.

Happy New Year Imperiouxx.

I would like to disagree with the point you made above, on the basis of its validity.
There are a cornucopia of jobs (here in Nigeria) that can absorb applicants who just finished studying abroad.
It appears you know quite little about the current job situation in Nigeria.

Happy new year my brother wink

I always have that impression that Nigerian jobs are hard to get even for those that studied outside Nigeria?

I know there are lot of inside runs going on in Nigeria.

Well, no one likes to risk accepting job with no security.

I think Imperiouxx is right. I know of a high school classmate of mine. She studied in the UK and she came bck to 9ja for her NYSC, she is done with the NYSC since 2 yrs ago, Up till today she is still searching for a job in Nigeria and she told me on bbm that she is seriously searching for a job here but she has not found any job yet.

Thinking of booking ♍Ɣ‎ next interview in abuja ( ♍Ɣ‎ boss says abuja is better, they have less applicant and will listen to your case better.. ♍Ɣ‎ anty stays in abuja, S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴͡ it shouldn't be too expensive. But, ♍Ɣ‎ question is
Will the vo ask why I didn't pick lagos after being denied once in lagos?
Will it increase chances of getting visa?
Do they record the previous interview of an applicant? Or write what the applicant said the last time?
Thnks

Bro, it doesnt mattter where you do your interview, but what matters is the presence of God and favour of God where you will doing your interview.

Yea they do have record of previous interview why the reason or section why applicant was denied but i am sure they record most of the interview of every applicant

Will the vo ask why I didn't pick lagos after being denied once in lagos? You can say you came to Abj for a family function that is why you booked ur interview for Abj
Will it increase chances of getting visa?Choosing Abj wont increase your chances of getting the visa.Location does not matter, heard of a mean male V.o at Abj dt will deny you even though u present you case well.So u see location doesnt matter bt Gods favour and confidence is the key.
Do they record the previous interview of an applicant? Or write what the applicant said the last time? Sure, they have a record of ur previous interview.

Well, new people will always be the victims of which embassy to have the interview.

Go to the embassy nearest to your bed....... I always say that.

If denied, it won't take you more than 3 hours (if you're from Lagos) to get back in your bed, sleep to cool off the suicide attempt (for the majority).

If approved, it won't take you more than 3 hours (if you're from Lagos) to get the good news across to your family and friends and begin to shayo. cheesy

But all the way to Abuja and at the end you got denied, you will feel like jumping out of the moving vehicle because the journey is too long, boring and you've successfully wasted lot of money.

Best of luck and choose wisely next time.

That's serious. A guy said something like this too sometime somewhere on this NL. He finished his BS in US and didn't apply for OPT but went back to Nigeria, as at then he was looking for either visiting visa or visa to come back to work..... I can't remember clearly.

The main thing about Nigerian jobs is man know man.... That's sad.

You are both correct, Ricky Rozay and Imperiouxx.
In my haste to get my point across, I forgot to be specific.

I was actually referring to jobs for people with graduate degrees. smiley

In addition to graduate degrees, experience should also go with it else It's not worth it. I lost a very sweet job due to limited experience.

Today, I was at the Lagos embassy, 7:30 batch, was interviewed by a young lady at counter 5 and visa was approved.

Got there a few mins b4 6am and the crowd there was intimidating.......Used to think it was a joke that people used to make about the embassy crowd but I met with reality today.

Anyway sha as madam journo wey I be before, I sabi smile no be small. Na from gate I don dey paste smile give everybody. Moderate heels, white shirt tucked in grey trouser suit, dropped jacket in car and wore enough make-up and perfume. Can't be looking so drab cause of an interview now can I? Its a new year abeg.

Too much prose already, I'll be posting my interview transcribed when I'm done writing it. Pardon me if it comes lenghty.
