A friend of mine in one of the leading banks just sent me this:

Dear All,

This is to inform your that Executive Management has approved a deduction of the sum of N100.00 (One hundred naira only) each from all staff. This amount represents the Federal Government Capital Projects Development Levy imposed on every worker of the Bank.

Please note that this is a one-off payment which shall be deducted from your October Salary for onward remittance to the appropriate Authorities.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Federal Government Capital Projects Development Levy?? At the Federal level? Is FG now a local Government ni? What happened to Tax paid? Will they come after SMEs too? As we all enjoy the "Federal Government Capital Projects"?

Is there anyone with information or can educate on this?
