Why do people use capital letter G for God and small letter S for satan. Are both not proper nouns?
Is it a sign of disregard/regard to God,does it make him less/more powerful than he is?

I believe that the capital letter 'G' as in God, is one of those things used in distincting the Almighty, Jehovah, Yahweh (however you wish to call His name), from other gods, that is 'smaller' mighty beings. Concerning that of Satan which some peole often use small letter 's' , I believe it's based on illiteracy cos it was inculcated into me that a noun should start with a capital letter. Hope u get my perspective??

Formally both God abd Satan are written with the first letter capitalized as proper nouns. The other reason is that capitalizing God is seen as a form of respect to Him (that's why He is capitalized even though it's a pronoun). Some people don't capitalize S in Satan vecause they feel it respects the Devil.
