Maybe I'm wired differently...right now I'm more interested in receiving the e-mail than in what it actually contains. So many other decisions to make outside of NLNG. Yea, it's a gd job, but it's a "means" not the "end". But I can't commit to any other "means" cos I need all my cards on the table. It's the time-wasting that's hurting me more.

Why are you doubting him? It could be he was trying to help a relative or friend to acquire information who is not a nairalander. I do similar things to help people even when I did not apply for the job. I heard similar thing he said .

For me it’s the wait that’s making me restless not really the outcome. All I need is closure.
Any hints as to when this wait will end or if management have approved the selection will be much appreciated.
Somehow I feel NLNG won't release these results when we expect it.

May I add this: its important that we dont give NLNG the impression that we want to join the organization for salary purposes only.But I would also say that the reason it myt look this way is because of this " unexpected and quite dissappointing delay" in getting feedback from NLNG.its very normal for pple to react in this way with a delay as long as this.

The way we are flipping pages on NL, I thought mails have dropped.

Meanwhile, departments always get less than requested in most organizations - whether it is staffing or budget. It does not mean fewer than 100 ppl are absorbed.

I was informed GT training is for 2 years, and we'll work in several departments during that time. This talk of departmental allocation seems a bit odd.

Don't be teary, MissYuppy. I have your back. We are all going through this crap together. I remember tearing up once in a cab before AC. I've made some great strides, worked in great places. Then I made some choices with NLNG in mind. It means a lot to me. Let's all keep the faith, my dear. It's not easy but this too shall pass.
