1)please nairalanders how can i format my 4gb usb flash drive?

with ms-dos preferably

2)how can i lock files in my usb or rather lock my usb with a code to avoid access to my files?

i would prefer locking the files irself if there is anyway i can lock them

To Format: When you plug in the flash drive, go to My Computer and left click on the flash drive. You'll see several options including Format. Click on Format. It'll show a box. Make sure it is on Fat32 and default allocation then click on format. It'll take only a few seconds.

i tried it but it is showing windows cannot format usb bla bla bla...is there antway i can format it ms-dos ?

maybe the flash drive is password.
