We are recruiting to fill the above position of: Stanbic IBTC Bank Graduate Trainee Program 2014 Job ID: 12484 Location: Nigeria Position Description Graduate Programme has been designed to build capacity and create a sustainable pipeline in our Bank by developing young, talented, trained professionals for our future. It is an intensive programme and one of a kind opportunity for young people who are serious about a career in banking to get on the fast track. Applicants must be passionate about building a career in corporate and investment banking Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer literacy is a must. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum of a (2.1) B.Sc degree in any course from an accredited University. Minimum of 5 credits (Mathematics and English inclusive) in GCE, NECO or its equivalent in one sitting. Applicants should not be more than 26 years of age as at November 2013 . Applicants must have concluded NYSC, and must have discharge certificate in hand. Required Competencies A "can do" attitude Innovative & creative Self-motivated. kollected22: 40k for the classroom training, 70k for branch attachment and circa 140k on confirmation. PEANUT!! Kindly ask them if that is what they pay other applicants outside Nigeria |

Xtaceeey: If you know your worth, then you will most likely know that 140k is peanut! Unless maybe you finished university with 2:2 or third class, with no work experience except NYSC and with no other qualifications and no membership to any professional body! My brother/Sister, these companies are belittle our graduates; take it or leave it! |

Its true dat d economy is bad, evry1 knw him worth, no b by ur paper eish, all am sayin is do not despise days of litu bginin, 140k as a fresh start isn't peanut, ppl receive less n stil see it as smfn. ikenna58:Belittle!!! Really.. Do you have any *relevant* work experience? Can you work with any of the banking softwares? Can you handle a database of 2 million customers? Can you file a memo? Do you know about SOX? A Fresh graduate employed in any firm is a *liability for the first 3 months*, that's why the training is there. You think you will just be employed and be given a system with a good and comfy chair to work! Bros, be happy you are being paid for training and attachment. Its so unfortunate that some bigots (not an insult, check the dicko) wouldn't read between lines before responding. I remember I ended my first statement with "kindly ask them if that is what they pay other applicants outside Nigeria"!! I believe that statement really explains the kind of message am passing across. Do you guys know that BAT pays their MT in UK about 35000 pounds per annum. That's roughly 9.1million Naira. Now do you see them paying thesame for MT in Nigeria? If Stanbic should pay 140k that I can imagine how much they pay our counterparts outside Nigeria! And whether I am the most qualified candidate in Nigeria, I will say No. But since I know they pay 140k, then I will most likely not take the application serious because I am worth more than that and I know how much my current job pays me in a month! Sometimes, being very young, we need to venture into other business environment and take up new challenges |

If Stanbic should pay 140k that I can imagine how much they pay our counterparts outside Nigeria!i don't think BAT pays their MT £35k per annum, It's usually between £20-26k per annum for graduate trainee jobs in UK and after that, they get to remove 20-30% as tax...N140k per month in 9ja is not peanut for graduate trainee in nigeria. u also have to consider they may be making less money in nigeria compared to UK because of some issues like regular electricity, lower standard of nigerian education etc.. |
