Microsoft In Talks With Real Madrid For Stadium Naming Rights by Nobody: 6:14pm On Nov 07, 2013
Microsoft and Real Madrid football club have both confirmed that both parties are in talks to over Microsoft's bid to sponsor and rename Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium after the PC giant.

Huawei recently signed a 3-year shirt sponsorship deal with AC Milan football club and now Microsoft wants to follow suit with Real Madrid, except that Microsoft's deal will only affect the stadium's name not the sponsor's name on Madrid's jersey.

Real Madrid's president, Florentino Perez spoke of a 'new surname' for the stadium back in October while María Garaña, president of Spain's division of Microsoft told reporters 'They(Real Madrid) are speaking with us and with various other companies about the stadium.

"We are two businesses who are in the DNA of young people, in technology and sport", Garaña added.
