While miscarriage is not an occurrence that elicits happiness, it is still an experience that comes up in marriages.

I have heard in few places that a woman who has a miscarriage should 'go back to bed' and get back on track.
I have also seen a few women who had miscarriages , had stillborns , who got pregnant within a month or two after the unfortunate occurrence.

Is it a medically safe thing to do or it is from a cultural point of view.

May we not loose our children.

It's medically safe not cultural, most women heal faster psychologically once they get back on track quickly. As obscene as it may sound, a miscarriage can as well be a blessing, blessing to some, curse to others;just as it is with every other circumstance in life.

I 've t say u r wrong in dis regard.
The womb as an organ undergoes considerable changes n stresses in pregnancy n upon miscarraigerequires time t revert alalmost t norm bf going thru d process again.
On d psych part, Its erroneous t say Iit helps dem heal faster. Most women post miscarraige are not yet mentally fit t deal eit d stress of another pregn but due t d above assumption , get pregnant n end up repeating d mistakes previously made or even worse.

Well dis is typical of Nigerians..
For d above I can give @least 3 instances where a quick pregnancy resulted in another miscarraige..A friends wife n a colleague as well.
The recommendation Iis @least 6 months.
Lets simply adhere n avoid stories

I will share the cultural aspect. Just for information purpose.
It is believed that 'air' ( don't know what that means) should not fill the void created by the miscarriage in the womb. Excess air , they believe will create barreness.
Sounds base less but who knows?

You are not a woman and you can't base your assumption of women's emotions on what you read. Most African women are happy taking in with immediate effect after a miscarriage and yes, most doctors recommend trying as soon as you feel ok to.

Emotions, esp post traumatic, and their response t it are not much different btw genders n races. So, bin African doesnt really make much difference here.
Imagine u just finished exercising n then without resting u r now required t run a kilometre..how effective will u b able t do that?
Not a v.good illustration but just an indication of d fx on d womb
Abt d psych part , ppl deal wit traumatic situations differently , but note; traumatic experiences r like psychological wounds and every injury has t b given time t heal. U might feel its best, but observek@dse women wen dey take in as fast, dey r usually not relaxrd, v.anxious, resorting t prayer houses n all dat n r prone t complications. Besides a good percentage of dem end up wit repeat miscarraiges cos most in their haste do not take time out t get t d root cause ofy Iit happened in d first place
Just realized I 've written an epistle.
My bad..just that I 've seen t many pregnancies lost thru carelessness n erroneous beliefs but t each his/her own..
Peace

Every miscarriage does not have a root cause, some are just random occurence and having a miscarriage doesn't mean it ll necessarily occur again.Am basing my opinion on reality and observation not text book theories, most women feel better once they conceive soon after a miscarriage.

I 've personally bin involved in at least 500 pregnancies , not a boast.
If I wanted t talk theory I wld ve gone t d professionals lounge.
These are personal observations n yes wit a bit of theory grin
..n no, you 've t determine or rule out d possible causes n tackle that t reduce d chances of it occurring again. If u can't find any..better.
A couple wit AS genotypes only stand a 25% chance of giving birth t a sickler yet they r advised agsinst such msrrsiges..y ??
My point is..try t make sure u create d most conducive environment , both physically n psychologically f d pregnsncy t thrive n not rush t take in soon afterwards. .just so d woman can feel beta.
