Erstwhile Vice-President of the country
and a founding father of the PDP, Dr.
Alex Ekwueme has blessed the PDP
candidate, Comrade Tony Nwoye
saying he has no doubt that Nwoye
would emerge victorious in the election.
Dr. Ekwueme spoke when the Nwoye
campaign train stopped at the former
Vice-President’s residence at Oko.
“I have no doubt that you will come
victorious come Nov 16, you have been
a grass root man for a very long time, a
dogged young man with the required
drive and push and the energy to
implement the vision” Ekwueme was
quoted as saying.
“We must all do our best to return
Anambra state to the Umbrella family
so as to bring down the desired
dividends of democracy to Ndi
Anambra.”
Earlier Nwoye had intimated the former
Vice-President of the plans for the flag-
off of the campaign by Vice-President
Namadi Sambo and told him that his
presence in his house was to give
homage to whom homage is due.
“I cannot help but to come to you as a
father to celebrate an exemplary son of
Ndi Igbo, a man of excellence,
courageous and visionary political icon,
architect and a philanthropist.
Ide! you are to me the greatest patriot
of our time and we must leave no stone
unturned in our efforts and plans for
PDP to win this Election so that we can
use it to celebrate you” Nwoye said.
