[center]CORELDRAW BARS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS[/center] 1. TITLE BAR:- This is the bar that carries the name of the program (package) you are using and it always in colour form and it always at the top of the document, it is the first bar that will automatically appears on the CorelDraw environment immediately you open it. This bar includes: (i) the name of package you are using (ii) the sign (-) stand for minimize (iii) the sign (D) stand for maximize & (iv) The sign (X) stand for council. 2. MENU BAR: - This is the bars that have the list of commands group in which you can use for your design and the list of anything that has to do with the environment of the CorelDraw. The list of the commands include: File Edit, View, Layout, Arrange, Effect, Bitmaps, Text Tools, Windows and Help. 3. STATUS BAR: - [/b]This is the bar that has the information about the work done or been doing currently on the CorelDraw page. It allows you to know the size of whatever you draw on the page or the text you type/input on the CorelDraw page. [b]4. STANDARD BAR: - This bar is the one that carries the standard command and it is very important in a CorelDraw environment. It also useful during work done at a time. This bar include: New page button, Open document button, Save button, Print button, Cut button, Copy button, Past, Undo and Redo button, Import and Export button, and also Zoom box button. These buttons appears with icon for identification. 5. PROPERTY BAR: - This is the bar that contains the size and the type of page setup you are using or you want to use. It allows you to visualize both the width and height of the page (paper) you are using. It shows the type of orientation you are using. i.e. (Portrait or Landscape). It also shows you the measurement of the ruler guides on the page. 6. TOOL BOX BAR: - This bar is one of the most useful bar on a CorelDraw environment and it perform a special task. Tools box bar include different kinds and types of tools that can be use to draw, shape, type data, and trim an objects or texts on the page such as : Rectangle Tool, Eclipse Tool, Pick Tool, Shape Tool, Zoom Tool, Bezier Tool, Smart Draw Tool, Polygon Tool, Graph Paper Tool, Basic Shapes, Text Tool, Drop Shadow Tool, Envelope Tool, Interactive Distortion Tool, Transparency Tool, Blend Tool, Eye Dropper & Paint Bucket Tool, Outline Tool Box, Fill Tool &Interactive Fill Tool. These tools can be used in performing magic drawing on a CorelDraw page. 7. TEXT BAR: - This particular bar is the one that has to do with the text or data that you want to or putting into computer on CorelDraw. It show and enable you to choose the size of character/font styles you want to use and it allows you to choose the type/kind of font/ or text style that you want to choose or use on your convenience. This bar is also allow you to bold, italic and underline the text you are working with. It shows in signs like (B for Bold), (I for Italic) and (U for Underline). This text bar is very important and it allows you to select the type of alignment you want and there are five types alignment available on the bar in which you can choose or select from, they are: left alignment, centre alignment, right alignment, full alignment and force full alignment. 8. ZOOM BAR:- This is the bar that gives you the ability to zoom in and zoom out i.e.(to view the big size of your work or the small size of it), the page you are working with and it allows you to see the actual size of page on the particular object or text you are working with. 9. INTERNET BAR: - Is the bar that works with internet connection and it can be use unless the computer you are using is not connected to internet. 10. TRANSFORM BAR: - Is the bar that gives and shows you the measure of your work done, the page and it also allow you to mirror your job or work done before printing. [center]WORKING WITH MENUS BAR[/center] MENU BAR: - There are eleven (11) buttons available in this bar. Is the bar that is very import and it mostly use in CorelDraw. The bars include the different names of command such as: file, edit, view, layout, arrange, effect, bitmaps, text, tools, windows and help. 1. FILE:- This file button include: New Page, Open, Close, Save, Save As, Revert, Acquire Image, (Select Source/Acquire), Import, Export, Sent To, Print, Print Preview, Print Setup e.t.c. 2. EDIT:- The edit button include: Undo Create, Redo Create, Repeat, Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special, Delete, Symbol, Duplicate, Over Print Outline, Select All (Object, Text Guideline, Nodes) Find, and Replace, Insert Barcode e.t.c. VIEW: - This is the button that has to do with the visualization of the page you are working with. It includes: Simple Wireframe, Wireframe, Draft, Normal, Enhanced, Full Screen Preview, Preview Selected Only, Page Sorter View, Rulers, Grid, Guidelines e.t.c. LAYOUT: - This is the button that enables you to setup your page and allows you to select the type of page orientation. It include: Insert page, Delete page, rename page, go to page, switch to page orientation, page setup, page background e.t.c. ARRANGE: - This button help you to carry out your own convenient setting on the work-done. It enables you to do/work/design as you want or like. This also include: Transformation, Clear Transformation, Align and Distribute, Order, Group, Ungroup, Ungroup All, Combine, Break Apart, Lock Object, Unlock Object, Shaping, Convert to Curves, Convert Outline to Object e.t.c. EFFECTS: - This button enables you to make your own effectiveness on the work-done on the page of CorelDraw. It also performs many special tasks. It includes: Adjust, Transform Correction, Artist Media, Blend, Contour, Envelope, Extrude, Lens Add Perspective, Power Clip Rollover e.t.c BITMAPS: - This button carries many functions that perform difference formatting. It also allows you to change the face of a picture on a CorelDraw page. It includes: convert to bitmap, edit bitmap, crop bitmap, colour transform, contour, creative, distort, noise, sharpen e.t.c. this particular button bitmaps) is mainly use when you are working with pictures. TEXT: - This is one of the important buttons on a menu bar and it has to do with text/data or character you may be working with. It also includes: format text, edit text, insert character, fit text to path, fix text to frame, align to baseline, and straighten text e.t.c. E - COLOR PALETTE The Color Palette by default is located to the right of the work window. Like the Toolbars, it can also be relocated. F - STATUS BAR The Status Bar is used to give you information about cursor movements or symbol properties such as the fill or size. G - PAGE NAVIGATOR The Page Selector is used to add and move between pages. When a file contains multiple pages, individual page tabs appear to the right of the Page Selector bar.
