Everything you explaiined remained the same.. That prayer is complete and means the same thing long or short. When you live the heavenly lifestyle, you don't need a 'Nigerian prayer'.

Are you now positing that the lord's prayer is incomplete? Tell me the part of life's trivails that's missing.. Do you seek God's will or your own will? Is God not aware of your challenges?

We all say the Lords prayer but miss out so many points......U will hear people say "I will never forgive Him/Her"...But part of the lords prayer says "And forgive Us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against Us" which means when you dont forgive people God will never forgive you......so forgive people when they misbehave not for their sake,but for your own sake!!!!

It reminds me about forgiveness.

the Lord's prayer is first of all a prayer in itself. Jesus intended that it is a prayer. But if you want to see it as a guide, i dont think there is anything theologically wrong.

People who condemn the recitation of the lord's prayer based on the ground that it is recycled, should also remember that they recite the grace of our lord at the end of every fellowship.

italo: As a Catholic, I say it at least 8 times everyday.

1. I say it once during daily mass. (It is said by everyone at every mass everywhere in the world)

2. I say it 6 times while praying the Rosary.

3. I say it once while praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

May the Lord answer our prayers. What prayer can be more pleasing to God than this one uttered by his own mouth.

Amen.

Every working day.

Every opportunity I have to pray. It is better for me than the way present day Christians pray in tongues as they say!!!

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

I say it 7times daily while praying the rosary!
