The five candidates for the 2013 BBC African
Footballer of the Year award have been revealed on
the BBC's Newsday programme. Ivory Coast's Yaya Toure has made the shortlist for
the fifth consecutive year and is joined by Nigerians
Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi, Burkina Faso's
Jonathan Pitroipa and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of
Gabon.
The winner will be decided by African football fans, who have until 18:00 GMT on 25 November to vote for their choice.

saw this post late and got there quite late, BBC is bad, they should have put only 1 Nigerian on the poll. Nairaland sports moderators should hide their head in shame. This ought to be on the front page for the last 1 week leading to the end of the poll.

chances are Nigerians were busy debating instead of actually voting when the news came through perhaps thinking some officials were in charge of the votes
