Eating of oranges together with their skins is also very good for hypertensive patients.

A lot of people buy fruit and fibre cereal, grains etc but do not actually understand the context behind it. We throw away a good supply of fibre everyday. Fibre is the insoluble and would not change its form during digestion (not stored or absorbed unlike carbs). Insoluble fiber binds to water and sweeps material through the digestive tract more efficiently. (less constipation, no need for opa eyin, agbo jedi and the other stuffs people use for pile). Brown bread, wheat etc are other examples of fibre where more chaff is used in production.
