U3's verses were way longer so this might have influenced my assessment but the nigga really went in. U3 had more angles & his schemes were way more intricate. the chess scheme, the football reference(Ibime's a crazy football fan). U3 also went more personal. he brought ibime's ijaw roots to the front court, ibime's battle with streetwise & the fact that niggaz hang tightly on ibime's dïck on this section plus ibime's battle with mikuz & prekky. U3 had more references about Ibime's history.

Ibime bodied U3 with his monstrous punchlines - Ibime's punches hit harder but he was lazy with the rhymes. anyone doing a 2-syllable rhyme at this level is plain lazy. Ibime also had the smoother wordplay. his schemes were much easier to follow & weren't forced except some nursery bars like pa-piss & ma-poo, i think that was corny as fück. his bible scheme was also clean as fück as it came with a thunderous haymaker to subdue U3's. both ran out of steam for the closers so i marked that as a tie.

this was a very good battle, closely fought battle but U3 got the W

I wont break down my Votes but if anyone Questions y vote, i sure will...

There is no need for a term paper,... U3 could ave edged this out, he basically did everything right. Most commendable was his rhyme scheme(which awkwardly compromised his flow). .. And also personals(we had eaten the xlites story and was basically expecting more from ibime, made it a walk in the park for U3)
From then on I think every other thing ibime did right, the punches were effortless, and most commendable were the wordplays..
This battle basically puts a new twist to sticking to the textbook curiculum.

Ibime: Linos vote stands.

End of day criteria is just criteria. It's what you feel that matters. Not all criteria have to carry the same weight. For example, I don't see why opener or closer should carry the same weight as punchlines. Thats 2 bars against a whole verse.
