Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups plain flour + more for dusting
¼ cup vegetable shortening/butter/oil
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
½ cup warm water

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead well till a smooth ball forms. Allow dough to rest for 10minutes.

Cut dough into eight equal pieces.

Roll each piece out and cut a circle.

Transfer to a hot frying pan/skillet and fry without oil till bubbles start to form, then flip.

Fry the other side till it's brown. Allow to cool and use for shawarma.

Looks like pancakes. Wanted to buy pita bread yesterday at shoprite surulere but not available. Maybe will make mine or check out other places to buy. Don't know yet.

My dear, if u can buy pls do. I won't go thru the stress of making my own bread again since itz quite cheap to buy. I buy 5 shawarma breads for 250 naira.

I'm not in Lagos but u can check shoprite, park'n'shop/spar etc for it. Dey usually hv it in d bread section.

I usually buy mine at shop direct in surulere. 1packet(10pieces) for N230.
