You can use UPS as inverter but due to that the battery is just 7amps it will be very difficult to give you better backup and when u upgrade the battery, it will be difficult for the UPS to charge the battery. There are small inverter like 800va, it serves as inverter and ups.

If it just lcd, 800va can last for about 12-18hrs depending on how many inches ur lcd and its just one battery. (200AH)

It will work but will not fit in the System again and also the charging time will increase but be left asured u will have a better back up time.

200AH is very big battery and heavy so it can not fit inside the APC but u can keep it outside. Yes with the kind of light PHCN give us, you need to back yourself up.

Converts Direct Current (battery power) to Alternating Current(AC).

Basically means you get 4 to 8 battaries like this:



connect them to an inverter like this:

I just got a 1.5kva inverter barely 2months ago and it came with 2 100AH but to my surprise, the battery hardly last for 3hrs. All i use is a rechargeable fan and 42 inches LCD tv. And funny enough , all lights are switched off most of the time.

A neighbour's inverter caught fire and nearly burnt down the whole building saved for fire service department, what could be the cause, in a new building we're constructing, we are considering building an inverter house outside and connecting to the main house with an underground cable, just in case of fire, what's your take?
