What I meant was that I wasn't really into it, so I didn't keep up with it. Of course DSTV channels usually show series in order, except when they are showing reruns. I just found out that season 6 was showing on 1 Magic.

I just watched the whole movie in this trailer.

My rating 0/10

The vfx is trash. Like they can get better presets on Adobe After effects for these effects.

But I will go and watch it in cinemas for only laughs

Have you seen Saving Private Ryan (1998)? If you're a war movie fan, it's the best there is.
As far as blood and pouring intestines no do you anything, you are good to go.

Queen and Slim...6/10
Genre: Crime, Drama, Romance
Spoiler Alert!!!!

Queen and Slim had one of the most engaging stories I've seen in the pure Drama genre. But somewhere along the line, i felt like some of the choices made by the 2 leads was quite ridiculous & it really irked me.
Daniel Kaluuya kills a cop in self defense, his attorney GF advises him they run....are you kidding me? this was someone who claimed she was the best at what she does. Why run when you can put up a solid case, seeing that the dash cam, recorded everything, or better still, why not set the cop car on fire to erase every evidence.

Notwithstanding the above, & considering the fact that am not a Drama fanatic, the rest of the movie sure held me spellbound.
Acting most especially from Daniel Kaluuya was solid, soundtracks were awesome especially that Fella's soundtrack, cinematography was top notch, the political message was also well conveyed.
All in all, a better writing would have made this flick a masterpiece.

Exactly my thoughts..not saying what the cop did was right but Daniel Kaluuya and the babe made some pretty bad decisions and two wrongs don't make a right so i thought that end scene was a fair outcome all things considered..

baba, there is no way out for these women. reporting him is out of the question. quiting is also out of the question because there is no guarantee they'll get another lucrative job so soon or ever. if you've ever being unemployed in a very competitive market, you'll know that walking away from a good job is pure madness.

the crux of the matter is that a CEO mustn't put an employee or would-be employee in a situation whereby they are forced to debase themselves in order to keep their or land a job. it's unethical, immoral, perverse and cantankerous.

that lowlife used his position of authority to take advantage of the desperation of his female employees, and ought to be registered as a sex offender, for he was nothing but a pervert imho.

The bad decisions was out of control..Spoiler alert! for those who haven't seen it am sorry. First off, Shooting the Cop was self-defence and probably hold up in court, but no the girl (surprisingly a lawyer) suggested they run away, secondly probably the Sheriff seemed "like one of the guys" and could have actually been be able to help if they had properly explained the whole situation but no another bad decision and the left the man in a deserted road in a trunk of a car thereby eliminating any chance of them presenting or building an credible case that would hold in court and from there things kinds spiraled out of country... There's was only going to be one outcome in the end.

Truth is abuse of authority happens all round. It's not only sexual abuse of authority that takes place, it just seems to be the one that screams abuse most time. The man gave them a choice: take it and get what you want, leave it and pursue your dream elsewhere. They took the deal because their dream is greater than their dignity.

Good to see the likes of Vin Diesel and Matt Damon in their younger age. It was worth the hype and the ratings. The gore cannot be better depicted. For a movie of about 22 years, it is definitely a classic.

G..The writers had a good material but decided to spin it silly, i was expecting from shooting the cop, the girl been a lawyer would have taken up the case against the police force to argue for self defence, then win the case and cause a reform in the law on how cops handle black people....
