It's better you just watch the series in Nov first, then tuck in for the long ride with the books... Believe me, reading a good fantasy and watching the movie adaptation is like ice cream flavours, chocolate and vanilla .

I'm currently waiting for G R R Martin's winds of winter, I'm sure I'll be getting a different energy from the final seasons of GOT.

It's good everyone's sharing their experience. Maybe this will spur some of us in actually doing something about it.

Maybe we should form a book challenge.
Start reading a book before it drops or concurrently with the new incoming shows. Starting with Wheel of Time, Dune, The Witcher, Fire & Blood etc.

The last book (about emotional intelligence) I read was in October last year and that's mainly because my smartphone was stolen, so I had free time from social media and distractions. The book sef, I no read am reach half. Probably like 20 something pages

Hello,
There's the Storm light archive (Male and Female heroines) and Mist born Saga(Female heroines). I believe those are his easiest books to follow.

Me I thought I would have the time during the lockdown last year alas I had about 2TB of movies and shows to see , I made the same promise of "A book per month in January" , here we are in September with approximately zero book read

At this point I am just waiting on Netflix, HBO and the likes to adapt these books into movies to save me the hassle.

it use to be for me yester years ago, I would literally ask for books from my Father back then as gift during the festive season..Alas life happened and all the time for books was "literally sucked" from me , I hope to find the time and spark again for books. I have an impressive collection of hard copy books saved in mint condition.

Growing up, I am a very avid and dedicated reader but then life hits at a tender age then boy had to man up to the realities and responsibilities of life.



In the past three years, I have started forty books and completed only 7. The rest were either abandoned at the last chapter or second to the last.

To my credit, I can claim to have read the biggest book on this thread: The mammoth book containing
biography of Tafa Balewa collated by English author(s) (can't remember the names at the moment).


P.S: Growing up, I have read the entire Oxford pocket dictionary page to page thrice over and the Holy Bible twice over page to page.



But Nigerian economy can't allow such luxuries anymore

Definitely not the ending I was expecting. Twitter people don push me to watch sad film. How will I sleep tonight, I won't stop thinking of the plot
