I don't really fear much for Babylon. It looks like it will do well or better yet fare far better than Amsterdam.
Not gonna lie, I'll have to agree Amsterdam was poorly marketed that's if it had a promo at all.

I didn't even know it was releasing this October till I started seeing flop news. Just one trailer that's what I remember from it. The trailer sef didn't even sell it well that this ain't a film you'd like to miss. It's mysterious.
In this day and age you have to actually have something to draw the audience out to see your film. You have to tell them why this should be watched. That's why you see some movies with tons of trailers these days and TV spots eg Black Adam

But Babylon, I already know it'll premiere this December with limited release, then go wide in January.
The director of Amsterdam— Russell, also has serious character issues hovering around him. In a world where everything has gone woke, his dealings might not be so overlooked.

So much for all the complaints about reboots and remakes. People really trooped to the cinema to see the same movie all over again. Not even a director's cut, the literal same movie.
