How ironic that some black people here are feeling woke by hating on black panther. Black panther is highly rated because of its visuals, timing and the acting of individual actors. A film can be great for many reasons. Some are great because if the plot. Some are great because of nice graphics and visuals. Some have a great message. Black panther's plot is very simple. A new African king is challenged by his cousin who has a different view on using the kingdom's resources. However, black panther is great because of its visuals. There is no other superhero movie that is as culturally colourful as black panther. There is also the fact that the lead actor acts like a bad ass prince. Chadwick Bozeman has swagg and presence. Not to mention the acting skill of the women in the supporting role From a feminist point of view, the women in black panther were empowered. There were no damsels in distress and they had their own agency. And you have to consider the timing. The market had been saturated with so many superhero movies, of course it was going to be a treat getting to see a fuly fleshed black superhero movie. There are also culturally hidden messages that relate to black people. The polar opposite methods of looking at white people/oppressors between Tchalla and killmonger is very telling- it shows how blacks in the west are more angered by racism than blacks in Africa. Did you also notice how Wakanda was never colonized? Imagine if there were African countries that were never colonized. Black panther is an average superhero movie that was supported with great acting, great visuals, great culture and a great message. I have many more things to say but I will leave things here for some to think. We have thousands of white people who want awards for the Black panther but some Nigerians hate that blacks have some recognition. Interesting. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Galapagous:I got mad too first time so so mad I told my friend that I asked to download to delete it instantly after we finished watching... That why dafuq make a movie so hard to understand but after reading articles on it online then re-watching I got the hang of it and appreciated the work of art. Most times the girl was sleeping or lost in sickening thoughts. The movie explores the mind of the disturbed beautifully, the realities of one passing through life, at the start she was an upcoming actress everyone clapped for her then someone took her spot, she got jealous and murdered her, her conscience kicked in and she lost her way now the people that cheered her at the top laughed at her in the end she couldn't take it and killed herself. What so confusing about it like most of these movies is you hardly can tell whether something is real or just in the mind of the disturbed. Stay away from 'the double' then I'm still pissingoff after watching ten times over and reading everything online I still just don't understand, never gonna watch again never |
