The Samsung Galaxy Note has achieved global sales of 10 million, just over two months after it first launched.

According to an infographic released by the manufacturer, it has become Samsung’s 14th device since 2002 to achieve the milestone, ranking alongside its two predecessors. Others in the list include the Galaxy S smartphone range.

In comparison, the original Note took nine months to reach 10 million sales after being released in October 2011 and the Note 2 took four months when released in September last year.

The last device to reach the 10 million sales mark was the Galaxy S4, which achieved it 50 days after going on sale globally on April 25.

The Galaxy Note 3 was unveiled alongside the Galaxy Gear smartwatch on September 4 – the night before IFA 2013 in Berlin.
It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and runs the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. It has a 5.7-inch HD touchscreen, 13 megapixel rear and two megapixel front cameras, and either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB that can be expanded by a further 64GB with a microSD card. It also includes Samsung’s S-Pen stylus.

It went on sale in more than 140 countries from September 25, available in black, silver and pink.
