The leaders of the Bakassi community are afraid that when the region comes under Camerounian authority, they will become nobodies. For this purpose they are willing to sacrifice the lives of their subjects. It's shameful.

The people of Bakassi are not agitating for a new Republic. It's their selfish leaders that are leading them down this trecherous paths. But it is the ignorant people that will suffer most from the consequences. People are stupid.
