It happens all the time. ZIs and LIs are always giving threats during the Christmas/New year season.

In my time, 2010. They said there will be a zonal meeting (or something like that) on the 24th of dec. For where? By the 20th of dec there were no Christian corpers left in Kaduna!

We came back in January and nothing happened. Even our January clearance (like other months) lasted until the 10th.

I'm a Batch A corp member serving @ Oyo state, Ibadan North L.G. Clearance started yesterday 24th of December and will last till 31st of December, 2013. I'll travel back to Ibadan tomorrow from Lag to sign my PV. Safe Journey to me

Jakeattah: I am really confused o, we normally do our clearance every first thursday of the month. I came home for the christmas break(cos I can't spend it there) and our L.G.I says we have to be back for our clearance by 2nd of January, which is the first thursday or lose your january allowance.
Where I stay is very far from where I'm serving. I can't imagine spending the new year in a vehicle. So I am wondering is it so elsewhere or is it just our L.G.I tryin to squeeze a few bucks out of us?

They told us to return on the 6th of January 2014 to fill out our vouchers and submit our clearance. So, I guess it varies from state to state.

Bro, I sight U jare. Shout outs to othr cross riverian corpers(batch c 2013). My own case is a bit mor complicatd. Doz lazy bank staff @ GTB Calabar avnt opened my corper's accnt 4d past 3wks dt i filled thr form. av calld nd calld all to no avail.dey were sayin its because i av an existin accnt wit dem dts why its takin much tym. Hope i wnt miss my decembr allowy jst because of a bank staff's lackadaisical attitude to work. Anyone wit an idea of wat i shld do?

That's bad of your L.I oh,we don do our own for Imo state na,just don't go cos Jan2 has been decleared Public holiday..........
