I did'nt travel..Spendin my Christmas here in Zamfara State cos im far 4rm home..Moreova,watz d point of rushin home wen i know dat clearance is jus days away & im passin out Febuary..I rili felt d pain of not spendin Christmas wit my family..But as a man,i hav 2 take som hard decisions 4 d greater good..Merry Christmas beautiful pple of God

I learnt clearance starts 6th January in my LG so i will be going back on the 5th.

Jakeattah: I am really confused o, we normally do our clearance every first thursday of the month. I came home for the christmas break(cos I can't spend it there) and our L.G.I says we have to be back for our clearance by 2nd of January, which is the first thursday or lose your january allowance. Where I stay is very far from where I'm serving. I can't imagine spending the new year in a vehicle. So I am wondering is it so elsewhere or is it just our L.G.I tryin to squeeze a few bucks out of us?

January 2 is a public holiday. So dont get worked up ova it. God's grace I'll get to Ebonyi january 3. By d way, wer r u serving?

my L.I prompted us to b in my LGA on or before 5th of January. I wud advise u follow d instructions of ur L.I.

I serve in akwa ibom and the head of cds said it live @ abia camp wen we went for nysc competition,he said "batch A n B ur clearance is on 2nd january whyl batch C is 3rd" ma dear if u r bigger dan 19800 u can stay back if nt put urself dat nu year and go to ur nysc state. Dnt worry after nxt year no more. Merry xmas and a happy nu yr

My candid advise to you!
Work begins 2nd Jan evryyear except it falls on wkends.
And 1st january is nt that celebrated as xmas is bt the new yr eve means a lot to people irrespective of our religion inclination.
Once ur nysc authority has insisted dat u lose ur allowee if u dont sign ur Pv,i advise u take off frm ur base on 1st Jan in order nt to miss the salary for january.
The fun of this festive period is btw 24th and 31st december,by Jan 1,work starts.

Really suprised nobody has mentioned their clearance starts from 25th of the month Because that's when mine starts.. Bl**dy clearance held yesterday, 24th (Batch A)..and I missed it cos hv long left dt state..

You suppose to get alert now,in my own state we do receive alert 3days before the clearance,though my LGI told us not to travel too,but we know that which ever day the clearance will we will definately receive an alert.

Same here, clearance in Adamawa is 2nd january, i intend going back on the 31st of dis month, to avoid any kasala, cos i fit break person head if i provoke.

We aren't supposed to travel but I did :-) will fly back on the 2nd have an appointment & also clearance... I don't wnt to hear stories (that touch the heart)

My clearance is also on that 2nd of december....

For we corpers in lagos state, clearance is any working day between 1st and 7th of every month. So we stroll in on any day that is convienient 4 us within d period. It varies in oda states tho..

With what I gathered, monthly clearance last for 8 - 10 days, even in our posting letter it was clearly stated that monthly clearance will be from 2nd - 8th of every month, so panic not, my only advise is that u should be at your PPA latest by the. 3rd of January cos u can still do your clearance on the 6th.
