I would like to hear from the married nairalanders on who should be responsible to take children to school and pick them back home. I had an argument with a colleague and her view was that the husband should be responsible while mine was contrary.

They can both share the responsibility, but it's more of a woman thing except if she's the busy type, then the maid, driver or relatives can drop and pick them.

Anybody that it is convenient for. If the wife works far away from home while husband works next door to the school, he should keep waiting for the wife to pick and drop them and vice-versa.

Why do we like making rigid rules when there is no need for such? If it is not convenient for either, they should use the school bus system. Life is too short jare.s

My husband drops them off in the morning while i pick them up in the afternoon.
but whenever he is out of town, i do it all by myself.
