I was doin some project work when I decided to look into telecommunication and convergence and here's what I found - The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. It was not yet launched then, but it is now. Here's the details below -

Except for the slider design and the Windows mobile OS; i don't see too much to the phone IMHO

iphone 3G is the phone that is stealing the entire smartphone market. one year of release and already the iphone phenomenon has garnered 27% market share.

be prepared to sell your N96 on ebay.

you said it; still a windows mobile 6 with customized panels and an all too common sliding qwerty pad. even the HTC Diamond looks better with a spiffier interface.
