Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State Saturday declared his total support and that of the people of Enugu State for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying that he did not need to campaign in the state if and when he indicates his interest in contesting the 2015 Presidential elections. The Governor who stated this while inaugurating the newly elected Chairmen of the 17 Local Government Councils in Enugu State also declared that the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) has no place in the State. He said, “On behalf of the people of Enugu State, I once again declare our unalloyed loyalty and support for President Goodluck Jonathan and also of his programmes. We have told him that so long as he is in this business, we will be behind him. If and when he declares his intention to contest the 2015 Presidential elections, he can be assured that he will have our full support. He does not have to campaign in Enugu State at all”. Of the APC, Chime said, “Enugu is healthy and does not need APC”. He noted that Enugu State was the only state in the history of the country where all the council Chairmen had been returned unopposed as was done in the November 2013 local government elections saying that this was an expression of faith in the leadership of the state by the people. “It is not by magic that or by force or money that we were able to achieve this, but by simply working to meet the aspirations of our people, it is by consultation and by delivering on our promises to the people”, he said Details to follow http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/chime-declares-support-for-jonathan/167972 12 Likes |

Tell him to perform if he must not campaign. Let him increase power generation, fix our health sector,education,probe his corrupt officials and reduce d number of advisers, special advisers, senior special advisers,assistant to senior special adviser and so on. |

geeez: Chime's performance is no where near Fashola's, Amosun's and Aregbesola's Chime has performed better than any governor in Nigeria. I judge them by the resources at their disposal. If you give Chime half of what Fashola and his godfather fritter in Lagos, he'd perform wonders. Chime is unsung because he is media - shy. FreeGlobe: Just like you were also concerned with OBJ's family affair when Iyabo wrote him a letter I'm not gonna engage you in an argument on who is better between Amosun, Aregebsola (who are under four years in government) and a Chime (who is almost eight years in government) All I can debate on are the human development indices in the state and the economies when they took over and now which I can tell that these two men whose names start with A are far ahead As impressive as Chime's performance is, you left your native Ebonyi, passed through Enugu and came to trade in Lagos. utumunta: I passed by the recently completed underground bypass at New Haven junction Abakaliki road this evening, the traffic jam is totally gone! just like he dealt with the jam at Akwata, the jam at New market road of old and......Ziks avenue and the new bridge.
